posted on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 by bobby @ 9:00 am
I've update most of the add-ins available here for Visual Studio 2008. Here is a quick list of the add-ins.

MRU Cleaner
- Fixed an issue with incorrect icons

Explore In Windows
- Files are now selected in Windows Explorer when "Explore In Windows" is triggered from a file node

Start Page Killer
- No changes

Property Manager
- No changes, however, I'm aware of the issue w/ readonly fields but haven't had a chance to fix it yet

Sorry, no ETA on that. I rarely use CM anymore so it's kinda last in line.

Hi, I need to keep both 2005 and 2008 on my machine. I have noticed however even if I use the property manager for 2008 installation it attempts to make it a 2005 add-in. Any ideas how to fix this ?

Great App! However, there's some slight modifications I would love to make to this app to fit my needs. Any chance that we can have a peek at the source code? Thanks!

First off great work, there is only one issue I have experienced with the add-in and that is when the private property has a value set when it is declared e.g.

int id = -1;

is actually translated into

public id ={get{return =;}set{= = value;}}

n Ilya Ryzhenkov's blog posting that you reference, he states that the "C# 3.0 compiler is always used in Visual Studio 2008 C# projects, regardless of target framework." Is that true? Our development team would like to upgrade to make use of the new IDE but we have one developer concerned about using a new C# compiler on our existing 2.0 apps.

Can you tell me how you created the installer? I really like how seamless the install process is and would like to provide the same sort of experience for my add-in (which is not yet complete).

Nowadays Visual studio 3.5 is mostly used in most of the companies for software development.Most of companies used this visual studio but some companies uses its older version.it is always possible to run the program from previous version into latest version of visual studio but it is nit possible to run program of latest version into older version.
First time when I install visual studio I have face more problems.Some times it is not installed due to some hardware problems or some time some executable file are missing.So install it with carefully and follow all instruction .
